Sports Programs • Bowling
Bowling has been one of the more popular sports, and is ideal for athletes that like a challenge, and enjoy socializing with their peers. With 40 athletes registered this year, and 3 coaches helping them along, there's no shortage of fun!  We also take bowling seriously! In 2014, the Peterborough Lucky Strikers travelled to Vancouver, BC to compete in the 2014 National Summer Games! Our local team performed very well, and made a trip to the podium!

Bowling is a winter sport, with the season usually starting up in September and running through until April. Registration typically takes place up until the end of May for the next season - but Bowling spots fill up fast, so register early!

Fees are paid on a weekly basis, and no special equipment is required - bowling shoes are provided. Plenty of enthusiasm, and some basic skills, are required.

5-pin bowling is open to all ages, provided the athlete can properly hold a bowling ball. It takes place at Lakeview Bowl, on Tuesday (3:30 pm) and Thursday (5:00 pm) evenings. 10-pin bowling takes place on Friday evenings, with a 7:30 pm start. 20 years or older.

To register, complete the "2016-2017 New and Returning Athlete Registration Package" found under the FORMS section of the website. For additional information or to check availability, contact the athlete registrar Bill Strode at or by phone at (705) 742-6697.
